How to Apply
- Visit https://indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in/ and select:
- Country: New Zealand
- Mission: New Zealand – Auckland
- Service: the relevant service (e.g. Police Clearance Certificate Others)
- Read "Information at a Glance before Apply", then click "Consular Service application form online".
- Register or log in, then complete and submit the online application.
- Upload the documents listed for your specific service (see the section below). If the website does not request a document that is listed as required and is applicable to you, combine it with another document you are uploading.
- Once the online scrutiny is completed, an email will be received. Book an appointment through the CGI website https://www.cgiauckland.gov.in/apt/ and select "Other Miscellaneous Applications – Counter No. 1".
- Visit the Consulate General of India, Auckland on the booked date with all original documents and the supporting copies listed for your service.
Police Clearance Certificate (for non-Indian Passport holders)
A Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is issued by the Consulate certifying the applicant's record during their stay in India.
Documents required:
- Completed and signed Miscellaneous Consular Services application form.
- Copy of study/work certificates, if applicable.
- Payment proof — fee of NZ$45 (modes of payment).
- Coloured copy of the bio-pages of your current passport (Original to be carried to the Consulate for verification).
- Copy of your current and valid New Zealand visa (for non-NZ passport holders).
- If you previously held an Indian passport: a copy of your cancelled passport, Surrender Certificate, or OCI Card (any one).
- One passport-size photograph (taken within the last 6 months), pasted on the application form.
- Passport pages showing visa, arrival, departure and immigration stamps. Submit the Entry/Exit List duly filled in, confirming the length of your stay in India (Original signed Entry/Exit list is to be submitted at the Consulate).
- Only if the PCC is for traffic convictions, taxi licence, or passenger endorsement: Affidavit against Traffic Convictions, completed and attested by a Justice of the Peace or notary.
