Girmit Remembrance Day

In the evening, Consul General Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi attended the Girmit Remembrance Day along with High Commissioner Ms. Muanpuii Saiawi. The artists' group TAAL enacted, through young artists, the journey and hardships of the migration of the indentured labourers from India to Fiji in 1879. The Rt Hon'ble Prime Minister of New Zealand was present, along with the Rt Hon'ble Chris Hipkins, senior ministers and members of Parliament.
