Permit is for Foreign Tourists only

Procedure:

This is a Gratis service (without any fees). Please take a printout of the Liquor Permit Form, fill it with blue pen, sign it and send us. Duly completed form should be blue ink signed (Not digitally signed/not a photocopy of signed form) form along with following documents:

1. Original New Zealand /Foreign Passport. (This service is not available for Indian Passport Holders);

2. Copy of any one of the following:-

(a) Copy of OCI Card or

(b) Copy of Indian Regular paper visa /E-Visa or

(c) If the Passport holder does not possess OCI/Visa, please obtain the Visa first. (Visa applications are accepted in-person by appointment only, after obtaining Visa you may submit Liquor Permit application through courier or in-person)

Application Submission:

Applications may be submitted in person (by appointment only) from 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM on any working day or through courier at the following address:

If sending your Permit through post and want to get it back through courier then please provide self-addressed prepaid courier envelope to return your documents. Separate envelopes should be provided for multiple applications. The applicant may use any courier service (with tracking facility) of their choice and are advised to keep the tracking numbers with them as Consulate General of India will not take any responsibility in case the courier is lost/misplaced/damaged or delayed. Please avoid sending application via ordinary post/ without tracking number service. Before making any status enquiry about the application please check with the courier service whether the application has been delivered to our office.

Processing Time:

The time frame for the applications received by courier is 3-5 working days from the date on which the complete application/documents are delivered/received at Consulate General of India Auckland. If your travel is before these dates, you may bring your documents in person at Consulate General of India Auckland between 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on any working day for getting service on early days as that will save time on courier services etc. However, permit along with passport may be collected only between 4-5 PM on working day. Please apply well in advance (2 weeks minimum) to avoid any delay and inconvenience.
