The Waikato Chamber of Commerce, in association with the
Consulate General of India, Auckland, organised a Business Symposium
on "How to Work in the Indian Market" on 30 October 2026 at Innes
Commons, Hamilton. Dr Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India,
attended as keynote speaker and highlighted opportunities to
strengthen bilateral business partnerships under the New Zealand–India
Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

Mr Don Good, Chief Executive of the Waikato Chamber of Commerce, spoke
about the Chamber's role in fostering stronger business connections
between the two countries. Industry leaders Hamish Wiig (Gallagher),
Praveen Paulsamy (Olam Food Ingredients), Thomas Potgieter (Lonrix)
and Earl Rattray (Dairy Link) shared their experiences of working with
Indian partners and the opportunities offered by the Indian market.
