General Information:
Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is issued by the Consulate General of India, certifying the person’s criminal record with the Indian police. Kindly ensure that your current passport is valid before applying for PCC. It may be noted that if passport validity expires before the final issuance of PCC, it will not be possible to issue PCC, hence it is advisable that passport is valid 3-6 months before applying for PCC. Also, if you have applied for re-issue of passport, then kindly do not apply for PCC until the new passport has been issued.
